ARTIST STATEMENT

My name is Kalen Foley. I am a 24 year old photographer from the great state of New Jersey. Currently residing in Northern Delaware. I got my first camera from my motivation in life, my Mommom, when I was 17. It was a 4 megapixel Canon s410, little did I know at the time that photography was going to be my ultimate passion and drive in life, but some 5 years later here I am… funny how things have a way of working out.

I am inspired by my travels, my friends, and by life itself. I have been fortunate enough to travel to some truly amazing places the past 4 years. Whether it be standing in downtown San Diego or on the edge of a Cliffside on the most southern tip of New Zealand. The different cultures, the different people that I have seen and met along the way have helped shape and cultivate the way that I see and perceive this world. This has helped me in the work that I create.

I do not have any educational background in photography, rather I have taught myself through experience and trial and error. Over the past 4 years I feel that I have developed a good eye and certain skill in photography and have put pressure on myself to reach goals and aspirations that I have set for myself.

I have been running my photography business since April 2007 and I am constantly working hard to improving and offering the most amazing work possible!
